What happens if I forget my P.E. clothes? If you forget your P.E. clothes you will have to borrow clothes for the day. Be sure to have you’re I.D. card to give to the office T.A.’s and they will issue you a teacher detention along with the borrowed clothes. When you are finished with the clothes after dressing out, return them to the P.E. office and pick up you’re I.D. card before you leave
Do I have to go up high on the Challenge Course? No. Participating in the Challenge Course is “Challenge by Choice.” This means that you have the option to say “no” if you do not want to go up.
How do I buy P.E. clothes? You can purchase P.E. clothes online or at the Student Store located on campus. The Student Store is open before school, at break, and at lunch. Be sure to bring your receipt to your P.E. teacher so they can get your clothes for you.
….”I think someone stole my lock and/or clothes”…. This is a common response from students and there are a few explanations: 1. The student forgot to lock their locker and it was picked up by a teacher and now resides in it's new home....a box in the P.E. office 2. The student put their lock on the wrong locker and a teacher unlocked it and put it in the P.E. office 3. The student left their clothes on the floor and it was picked up by a teacher and put in the Lost and Found
**Lost and Found is located in a hamper in the Boys P.E. office. Students are allowed to come in with the teachers permission to come look for their clothes. Be sure to go through all the items in the hamper before giving up. . Do we dress on rainy days? Yes. We dress every single day except for rally days.
What does my child do if they are absent? If your child is absent, he or she needs to submit make-up work to their teacher. The make-up work can be accessed on the P.E. Website under the "Downloads" tab. Thery will have various options of work to complete such as: word searches, articles to respond to, and game templates where they will watch a sports contest and answer questions about it on the paper. The due date will be communicated to your child by their P.E. teacher.
Can I drop off P.E. clothes for my child at the front office? Yes. However, they will not be delivered to your child in class. Once the clothes are in the front office it is the student’s responsibility to come pick them up.
What is your policy when there is a fire nearby? The P.E. department will get updates from the district regarding air quality throughout the day that will dictate the students’ physical activity level. In addition, we will monitor the air quality ourselves and make decisions based on current conditions. Students who have asthma should have their inhalers with them and communicate with their teacher about their activity level.
Do I have to make up miles from when I was excused with a doctor's note? Yes. Like any class, it is a test that needs to be made up. If you miss several weeks due to an injury, speak with your P.E. teacher about how they want to approach a make-up schedule and how it will affect your grade.
